Please do not adjust your set

I know that there are many loyal and regular readers of this blog wondering what's happening....6 days and still no blog post.

Maybe you are thinking "that must have been quite a wedding and they're still recovering" or "it's his 40th so they're probably having a week long celebration".

Unfortunately, it's neither. "Delhi Belly" hit us both hard on Saturday and unlike the 24 hour tummy bugs in the UK, DB is on a different level - both in intensity and duration. I'll spare you the details except to say that we're now extremely closely acquainted with our toilet!

We're now both getting better - just in time for my birthday jaunt to Jaipur.

So next week normal service will be resumed.

  1. Sorry to hear you have both been caught by the dreaded lergy! Hope it is easing off now. I was lucky, other than biting into an off hard boiled egg, I escaped untouched. For several years now I had taken Dukoral, a by mouth cholera vaccine I was recommended by my travel clinic as I had had both dysentery and food poisoning before. You dose up once every two years for protection against gastro intestinal attacks. I have been through Central America, Central Asia, China, Mali treks without being sick once even when eating street food, and was only one of two folks who escaped a norovirus outbreak on a boat. As you can tell I am a great advocate of this, as not much as ever got past it. May be a bit late this time, but if you can get it from a reputable source with a good vaccine fridge I'd say think about it. Otherwise wishing you both speedy recoveries.

  2. Loyal but not so regular!

Hey guys, just getting reacquainted with the lap top. Sorry to hear about the DB. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. I have no top tips, you've gotta eat!?!

I have been reading the blog but only just worked out how to post a comment. It looks like you've already seen a few sights. It's great to see the pics, you'll looking well Katie. Hope you have a happy birthday Daniel.

    Big hugs,

    Sal x
