We're off (but in the wrong direction)

With almost a week gone since we were due to fly out to New Delhi, we are still awaiting news of our Visa situation. We do know that our Passports sit in the Indian High Commission and that our Visas are still being ‘processed’ - along with ten other volunteers who were due to fly with us. But other than that, we are in limboland – we don’t know for sure exactly when we’ll start our placements, fly to India, receive our Visas….or even our Passports back! It is just a tad frustrating as we’re now all packed and ready to go.

So next week we’ve decided to hire a car and travel around the UK. Yes, touring cold and wet Blighty is a bit of a contrast to what we had been expected to be doing right now but with the bowlines untied, we're off......just not in the direction we'd hoped!
